The best fabric depends on the look, feel and drape you want. For something light and floaty, Eco Chiffon is a great option, while Eco Satin Flow gives you a smooth, silky finish with vibrant colour. Crepe de Chine is ideal for premium scarves with a soft, fluid drape, and Georgette works well when you want a lightweight fabric with a little more texture. For casual or warm-weather scarves, Summer Voile offers a soft, breathable feel.
This depends on the finished dimensions and whether you're making a square or rectangular scarf. As a general guide, a small scarf might be around 50 × 50 cm, a medium square scarf around 70 × 70 cm, and a large statement scarf around 90 × 90 cm or larger. Long scarves may be approximately 150–200 cm in length.

We don't currently offer a standard finished scarf product. However, custom cutting, hemming and sewing requests can be considered on a case-by-case basis. If you need finished scarves for your collection or project, contact support@maake.com with your requirements and our team can let you know what's possible.
Yes, custom labels or tags can be added on request for a more retail-ready finish. Speak to our team about your requirements when discussing your sewing or finishing options. The scarf page currently lists custom labels and tags as an available branding option.
No. Our scarf fabrics are printed on one side only. However, how much of the design is visible from the reverse will depend on the fabric's opacity. For example, Eco Chiffon is sheer, whereas fabrics such as Eco Satin Flow and Summer Voile have lower transparency. We recommend ordering a sample first if reverse-side visibility is important to your design.
Yes. You can use Maake's Make a Metre option to place multiple designs or colourways onto the same piece of fabric. This is useful for testing artwork and comparing ideas before committing to production.
