Make A Meter
With Make A Metre, you can place several designs, colourways or repeats onto one piece of fabric. It is a practical way to test scale, colour, layout and fabric behaviour before moving into a larger repeat order or production run.
Common questions from designers, brands and studios looking for a practical way to continue textile print work with Maake.
No. Maake is independent from RA Smart and cannot access RA Smart artwork, order files or customer records unless they are supplied by you or transferred through the proper administration process. If you have artwork, invoices, samples, photos or previous order details, we can use those to help rebuild a print route.
We can still advise the next best route. If you have a printed sample, photo, invoice, repeat size, colour reference or any exported file, we can review what is possible. In some cases the artwork may need to be rebuilt or recreated before printing, and we will explain that clearly before production.
Sometimes closely, but not always exactly. We can review your previous fabric, suggest the nearest Maake base, and recommend a sample-first route where colour, handle or end use matters. We will be clear where a fabric is a close alternative rather than an exact replacement.
We can help assess colour continuity using your artwork, previous samples and Maake colour tools. Exact matches depend on the original fabric, print method, ink system and finishing, so we will advise when a test print or sample-first route is the safest option.
That is still useful. You do not need every technical detail to start. Send whatever you have — an invoice, quote, photo, artwork file, fabric swatch, physical sample, repeat size, quantity or deadline — and we will advise the next best step.
In many cases, yes. Timing depends on fabric availability, quantity, artwork readiness, finishing requirements and whether sampling is needed first. If your project is urgent, include your deadline when you submit your details so we can recommend the fastest practical route.
Yes. Maake supports designers, studios, interiors businesses, fashion brands, homeware brands and repeat textile print customers with fabric selection, artwork checks, sampling and production routes.
Maake offers a wide range of cotton, linen, polyester, velvet, interiors and performance-style bases. We may not have an exact match for every RA Smart fabric, but we can often recommend a close practical alternative based on your previous sample, end use and print expectations.
Yes. Send us your previous fabric name, sample, photo or intended end use and we can recommend the most suitable Maake route. Where handle, weight or colour is important, we may suggest ordering a sample book or running a test print before moving to a larger order.
Send us your artwork, old invoice, previous fabric name, photos, sample details, order quantity and deadline. We will review the information and help identify the closest Maake fabric, print method and production route.
