Yes. Sampling is highly recommended, especially for fashion. It lets you check colour, texture, weight, stretch and drape before committing to a larger order.
Yes. The same artwork can be printed on different fabric bases, but the final colour and appearance may vary depending on composition, texture and base colour.
No. You can start with a sample, fat quarter or linear metre, making it easy to test ideas before scaling up.
Not exactly. Smooth fabrics tend to show sharper detail, while textured fabrics can soften the appearance slightly. Natural and synthetic fibres can also produce colour differently.

Lightweight fabrics such as chiffon and voile can be semi-transparent or sheer. If opacity is important, choose a heavier fabric or order a sample before production
Yes. You can use both repeat designs and placement artwork, depending on the garment and how you plan to cut the fabric.
